Borat Sagdiyev, a popular Kazakh television personality, leaves his homeland of Kazakhstan for the "Greatest Country in the World," the "US and A" to make a documentary film at the behest of the fictitious Kazakh Ministry of Information. He leaves behind his mother, his wife Oksana, and other colourful characters of the town including "the town rapist", "the town mechanic and abortionist", and brings along his producer Azamat Bagatov (played by Ken Davitian), and his pet chicken, Buh-Kaw. Much of the movie features unscripted vignettes of Borat interviewing and interacting with Americans, who believe he is a foreigner with little or no understanding of American customs.[4]

While in New York, he sees an episode of Baywatch on television and immediately falls in love with Pamela Anderson. While interviewing a panel of feminists, he learns her name and that she lives in California. Borat is informed via telegram that his violent wife has been violated and killed by a bear. Delighted by the news, he secretly resolves to go to California to make Anderson his new wife. Borat and Azamat were supposed to remain in New York, but Borat justifies the trip to California by telling his skeptical producer that "Pearl Harbor is there. So is Texas." Because Azamat is afraid of a repetition of the September 11, 2001 attacks, which he believes were the work of the Jews, he will not fly there, so Borat takes driving lessons and buys a dilapidated ice-cream truck for the journey.

During the cross-country trip, Borat acquires a Baywatch television show booklet at a yard sale, and continues gathering footage for his documentary. He meets gay pride parade participants, politicians (including Alan Keyes and Bob Barr) and African American youths playing cee-lo. He is also interviewed on live television and proceeds to disrupt the weather report. Visiting a rodeo, Borat, after first exciting the crowd with jingoistic, pro-U.S. remarks, sings a fictional Kazakhstan national anthem to the tune of "The Star-Spangled Banner", which receives a strong negative reaction. Staying at a bed-and-breakfast, Borat and his producer are stunned to learn their hosts are Jewish. Fearful of death ("or worse") at the hands of their hosts, the two "escape" after throwing money toward cockroaches, believing they are their Jewish hosts self-transformed. While Azamat advises a return to New York (where, he believes, "at least there are no Jews"), Borat attempts to purchase a handgun to defend himself against Jews. When told he cannot buy a gun because he is not an American citizen, Borat purchases a bear (which he names after his late wife) for protection.

The film begins immediately following the events of Alien vs. Predator, onboard the Predator spaceship leaving Earth which is carrying dead Aliens, living facehuggers, and the body of the dead Predator who had defeated the Alien queen. A chestburster erupts from the dead Predator's body; it is a new creature which is a hybrid of Alien and Predator characteristics known as a "Predalien". It quickly grows into an adult and begins killing the Predators onboard the ship. One Predator fires at it, creating a hole in the hull and causing the ship to crash in the forest outside of Gunnison, Colorado. With the Predators dead, the Predalien and several facehuggers escape into the forest and implant embryos into a father and son on a hunting trip as well as several homeless people living in the sewers.

A distress signal from the ship reaches the Predator homeworld and a lone Predator responds, coming to Earth and using his advanced technology to observe the cause of the crash and track the facehuggers. He begins to erase the evidence of the Aliens' presence, first by destroying the crashed ship and then by using a blue liquid to dissolve the bodies of the facehuggers and their victims.

Meanwhile, in Gunnison, ex-convict Dallas Howard has just returned to town after serving time in prison. He is greeted by Sheriff Eddie Morales and reunites with his younger brother Ricky. Ricky has a romantic interest in the more affluent Jesse and is being harassed by her current boyfriend Dale and his cohorts. Dale throws Ricky's keys into the sewer drain, and while Dallas and Ricky search for them they hear noises and see evidence that something strange is in the sewers. Meanwhile, Kelly O'Brien has also just returned to Gunnison from deployment in the army and is reunited with her husband Tim and daughter Molly. Sheriff Morales leads a search party into the forest to search for the father and son who have gone missing on their hunting trip. A deputy encounters and is killed by the Predator.

The Predator makes his way into the sewers and fights several adult Aliens. The battle reaches the surface, where the Aliens disperse into the town. The Predator pursues several of them to the cityâs power plant, where the explosions caused by his weapons' fire cause a citywide blackout. Ricky and Jesse meet at the high school swimming pool, but are interrupted by Dale and his friends just as the blackout occurs and an Alien enters the building, killing two of Daleâs friends. An Alien also invades the OâBrien home, killing Tim while Kelly escapes with Molly. They meet up with Ricky, Jesse, Dale, Dallas, and Sheriff Morales at a sporting goods store to gather guns. National Guard troops arrive but are quickly killed by the Aliens. The battle between the Predator and the Aliens enters the sporting goods store, where Dale is killed and the Predatorâs shoulder cannons are damaged. He is able to modify one into a hand-held blaster.

The film begins with a group of men preparing weapons for a fire fight. Among them, an argument sparks regarding whether or not a certain person will be at their destination, a local grocery store. Upon arrival, they find a group of people.

The guys from the car take over the store and appear to be looking for someone, and it seems one of them is "scanning" people by staring into their eyes. The cop who evaded the raiders, shoots one and calls for back up. He continues to elude the raiders for a few more seconds and shoots Spooky, the guy who was scanning everyone. The cop is shot and the dead are moved back to the freezers where one of the raiders shoot up the dead bodies.

The cleared hostages are sent out when the police arrive and the uncleared are all cordoned of in the back and forced to drink milk. The raiders then reveal that they are a group of scientists that is tracking an unknown contagion to this town and to the supermarket. Since Spooky is dead, they must use an alternate method to find out who is infected.

They take the first of the uncleared people, the boss of the store, and begin to ask questions. This is all to distract him from cutting one of his fingers. He protests and tries to escape showing them he has stolen money from the store. Meanwhile the hostages begin to plan an escape. As one of the hostages goes into the freezer to get a gun to escape he is killed by some person. Later, in the movie it is revealed that the person who killed the hostage is an alien king. In the end they realize that the person they killed is not the king and a girl already released is the real king.

After the first season, Afro is trying to live an ordinary life, but is hated by many because of his past. One stormy night Kuma and Sio attack Afro, take his Number One headband and his father's remains. Sio tells Afro her plans to resurrect his father so she can torture him. Afro decides to find the Number Two headband , as only the Number Two can defeat the Number One. Sio wants revenge for the lives destroyed because of his quest for revenge. She also blames Afro for what has happened to Jinno (Kuma) who, during a flashback, is revealed to be her older brother. After getting his sword sharpened and cleaned, Afro stops at a gambling house run by Brother 3 of the Empty Seven Clan, of which he and Brother 1 (now paralyzed, bound to a stretcher, gibbering nonsense) are the only survivors . He challenges Afro to a game of dice. If Afro wins, he will get the information on the headband, but will lose his head if he doesn't. Brother 3 tries to cheat using loaded dice, but Afro uncovers the ruse. Beaten, Brother tells him the name and location of the current wielder: Shichigoro.

Afro sets out and soon meets the man, coincidentally, as he is trying to save his son, Kitaro, from a bandit. The two get to know each other and develop a silent respect. However, Shichigoro knows what Afro is after but wonât relinquish the headband without a fight (mostly due to a promise he made to Kitaroâs real father to stop the killing by hiding the headband). The two battle; Afro, trying not to kill Shichigoro, is forced to take the fight into crowded areas to gain an advantage,. Both are hindered by Sio's henchmen, who try to get the drop on them; but they are quickly dispatched. In the end, Afro manages to win by stabbing Shichigoro through the body of one of Sio's henchmen, much to the horror of a watching Kitaro.

Sio and Jinno confront Afro and inform him to meet them at Cherry Hill for the final battle, and show Afro the living spine and head of his father. Soon Afro reaches said spot but first must contend with cyborg versions of Sio's family that were indirectly murdered because of Afro. Heâs wounded badly, but defeats them in a massive battle. During the battle Sio murders Dharman and releases Afro's father prematurely. Afro arrives at the final spot, where Sio and Jinno await. Rather than fight Afro themselves, they reveal his fatherâs clone, a psychopathic brute because his development was stopped prematurely. Afro goes into shock as the clone attacks him. Ninja-Ninja tries to convince Afro that the clone isn't his father. But Afro is hesitant , beaten senselessly, and then strangled to death. Seeing Afro dying Sio starts to relish her successful revenge, but positive memories from Afro and Jinnoâs training are triggered in Jinno. Afro's suffering brings back Jinno's lost personality, and he refers to his duty to 'protect the dojo' and his 'brother' Afro. Jinno attacks the clone but is outmatched, being cut in half by the clone. Sio attempts to save Jinno, but is impaled by the clone's sword. As both die in each others' arms, Jinno says "It's been a while, hasn't it Sio?". As Sio dies, her expression is that of contentment. As the clone takes the Number One headband, an electrical current from Jinno's body is conducted along their blood onto Afro, resuscitating him..

Realizing his father is dead, Afro takes Jinnoâs sword, wrapping the Number Two headband around his hand. After one last standoff, Afro kills the clone, taking back his headband. As he heads back to Mount Shumi with Ninja Ninja, Kitaro, who had been following Afro, confronts him with Shichigoro's sword. Afro gives him the Number Two headband, telling him, "Anytime you're ready,". At the end, a scene shows Takimoto, a masked ninja, waiting in a wasteland (most likely the number one's throne room due to the background). Noting someone approaching, he says "Been waiting a long time for you". The person in question being none other than Justice.

Someone becomes Number One by killing the previous Number One and taking his ceremonial headband. However, the only rule in this world is that only the "Number Two" (also designated by a sacred headband) is allowed to challenge the "Number One." The downside of this is that anyone (and typically everyone) can challenge and try to kill the Number Two, to gain the right to move forward and challenge Number One, because of this, few people ever reach the mountain where "Number One" waits because the "Number Two" headband is constantly changing owners. Afro Samurai's father was the old Number One, until he was challenged by a gunslinger named "Justice" (who was then Number Two), who fought him in a duel to become the new Number One. Justice severed his father's head right in front of the young Afro. Now an adult, Afro Samurai is the current Number Two and a master swordsman; he travels the road seeking revenge on Justice, the current Number One. Lengthy flashbacks interspersed throughout the story detail how Afro rose from frightened boy fleeing the death of his father, to master swordsman, and eventually to become the current "Number Two", while the story in the present deals with the adult Afro making his way to the mountain top keep of the "Number One" to duel Justice, while at the same time the mysterious cult known as the "Empty Seven Clan" sends various agents to kill Afro and take his Number Two headband.[7]

Although the TV anime is based on the manga, both have the same plot but the anime diverges from manga storywise, as the story unfolds very differently in the manga, although key points/fights do take place in both stories. There is also a video game based on the TV series that is also presented differently but the plot still remains.

Greenwall asks Ventura to find a sacred animal called Shikaka, which has become a point of contention. Shikaka, which is a great white bat, is a sacred animal for the Wachati and Wachootoo tribes of Nibia, a fictional African country; whenever its name is spoken, the tribesmen must bow. Accompanied by his capuchin monkey, Spike, Ace travels to Africa and returns to his pet detective work.

After arriving in Nibia and meeting with the head of the consulate, Vincent Cadby, Ace begins learning about his case as well as the possible suspects. Ace, normally an animal lover, must overcome his chiroptophobia (fear of bats) in order to continue studying the case. He travels to the Wachati tribal village, where he learns that Shikaka is meant as a wedding present from the Wachati Princess, who is set to wed the Wachootoo Prince. If the bat is not returned in time, the Wachootoo will declare war on the Wachati tribe instead. Much of Ace's activity involves eliminating various suspects and enduring the problems of dealing with the Wachati and the Wachootoo, who refer to him as the "white devil". This proves difficult, and is made more so by other incidents including attempts to kill him.

Reduced to the limit of his ability to solve mysteries, Ace consults the Grand Abbot via astral projection. Advised by the Abbot, Ace finally discovers that Vincent Cadby had taken the bat and hired Ace as a cover for his own crimes. Cadby plans to let the tribes destroy each other and take possession of their land, using the numerous bat caves containing guano to sell as fertilizer. Ace manages to thwart Cadby's plans. However, tribal security chief Hitu is by Cadby's side and sends him to jail, but Ace calls an elephant to escape, and then summons herds of animals, crushing Cadby's house. He tries to shoot Ace with a shotgun, but he is knocked out by Greenwall's fist. After waking up, Cadby manages to escape, with the bat, in a car and Ace chases him in a monster truck. Ace throws the truck's cigarette lighter at Cadby in an attempt to distract him, who finally rams into a tree and the cage with the bat flies away. Ace runs over Cadby's car, while Cadby runs away.

Nine years later, on the day Forster is to be executed at midnight, several similar torture murders with very similar modi operandi occur. Gramm is questioned but released. On the way to his class, he receives a threatening phone call telling him that he has 88 minutes to live. He reports the threat to Shelly (Amy Brenneman), his secretary, and brushes off the threat. He receives another call while teaching, and he becomes suspicious of the students. A dean, Carol (Deborah Kara Unger), enters the classroom and warns of a bomb threat, telling everyone to leave. Gramm finds written threats in the classroom. He goes to the parking lot to see that his car has been vandalized with a similar threat.

Later, one of his students, Lauren Douglas (Leelee Sobieski), is attacked by an unknown assailant. Gramm reports this to the police after questioning nearby people. He later discovers through a tape that someone had accessed his secure files. On the tape is a little girl, scared, saying Gramm's name many times and asking for help. The sound of a door breaking down and the girl screaming is heard. The screaming stops seconds later. With the help of his teaching assistant Kim (Alicia Witt), Gramm tries to notify authorities while trying to uncover Forster's past at the same time.

As the film progresses, Jimmy comes to realize that his life has remained largely the same since he graduated high school. At first, he considers himself a victim of his circumstances and blames others for his problems. Over time, though, Jimmy begins to take responsibility for the direction of his life and realizes that he has a large degree of control over how it will go. He begins to question whether his group of friends, including Future, are holding themselves back from moving on to bigger things. "All we ever do is talk shit," he tells them, as they bicker about the best way to become successful in the music business. With his onstage choke still fresh in his mind, he appears to decide that he will give up on or postpone his dream of a music career in favor of devoting more time to his day job and building a home life. Jimmy's newfound responsibility becomes evident to his supervisor at the factory as well. At the beginning of the film, when Jimmy requests extra shifts, his supervisor laughs at him (he's usually late to work), but by the end, Jimmy's improved attitude and performance earn him the extra work he had wanted. However, a late night shift conflicts with the next battle tournament. Jimmy initially doesn't want to go, but a visit from Alex changes his mind. Paul, a homosexual co-worker whom Jimmy stood up for earlier in the film during a rap battle, agrees to cover for him.

Ten years later, a man is masturbating in his house, when he receives a phone call from someone telling him they can see him. He begins to walk slowly through the house, before hanging up the phone, assuming itâs a prank call. He resumes his activities at his computer before a man appears behind him, killing him with an axe.

Meanwhile, a group of college students are preparing to go to a party in an obscure mansion a few hours away. On their way to the mansion, they stop at a gas station to use the restroom, and the news of the murder is reported on the television. It is revealed that the man who died was one of the children from the original Waley murders at the beginning of the story.

Two detectives are called in to help solve the case. They track down another survivor of the murders, only to find her and her boyfriend dead at her trailer. They go onto another college where another child lives, only to find them dead as well. It is then revealed that two of the students at the party were also orphaned at the murder.

Back at the mansion, the party starts, with Marcus suggesting a game of Seventy Five. At first itâs all going well, until one guest pretends he is in someones house, about to kill them. The tables are turned when the person they called reveals they are a murderer, and proceeds to kill someone while on the phone. They all agree not to answer the phone again that night, but one girl does anyway, giving directions to the pizza boy. However, when two guys look around, they realize the pizza is already delivered.

At the beginning of each day, she loses all memory of the past day. She innocently believes every day to be October 13, 2002. Realizing that he is beginning to fall in love with Lucy, Henry sheds his philandering ways and begins devising new ways to âmeetâ her again every day, hoping that one day she will retain her memories â and feelings â for him. Henry and Lucyâs family eventually realize that they canât lie to her about what has happened forever, and so instead begin to leave video tapes for her to watch each morning, explaining her situation and relationship with Henry. Over time, Lucy begins to reciprocate Henryâs feelings, even going so far as to accept his marriage proposal. One morning, however, she overhears Henry telling Marlin that he has canceled his plans to sail to the Arctic on a research expedition â something he had been planning and saving money for 10 years â in order to be with Lucy. Not wanting to be the person to hold him back, she ends the relationship and commits herself to a specialist unit in hospital, allowing herself to forget all about Henry. A heartbroken Henry, meanwhile, finally saves the money needed to begin his trip, and, after a farewell from Marlin and Doug, sets sail. Shortly after departing he realizes that Marlin had hinted that Lucy had indeed remembered Henry, and he rushes back to the hospital to see her. Upon seeing him again, Lucy explains that she still doesnât know who Henry is, but that she has somehow remembered his face and she had dreams with him in them, as evidenced by the many paintings and pictures she has produced of him whilst in hospital. Knowing that this is proof of the love she has for him, and he for her, the couple reunite.

Several years later Lucy wakes up in a strange bed with a video tape on the night stand next to her, reading "Good Morning, Lucy". She watches it, and cries as she relives her accident while the tape explains everything that has happened, including scenes from Henry and Lucy's wedding. She then looks out the window and is shocked to find out that she's on a boat in the Arctic. She comes out onto the deck of the boat to be greeted by Henry as well as her father and her young daughter sailing on Henry's ship, his dream finally fulfilled.

Afterwards, Otilia takes a bus to visit her boyfriend Adi, from whom she borrows money. Adi asks Otilia to visit his family that night, as it is his mother's birthday, and to buy flowers on the way, to which Otilia initially declines, but she relents after Adi becomes visibly upset.

Otilia heads to a hotel where Gabriela has booked a room, only to be informed by an unfriendly receptionist that there is no reservation under Gabriela's last name. Otilia goes to another hotel, and after much begging and haggling is able to book a room at an expensive rate. Afterwards Otilia goes to a rendezvous point to meet with Mr. Bebe, although he had asked Gabriela that she meet him and no one else. Mr. Bebe grows angry upon hearing that Gabriela is not at the planned hotel.

Mr. Bebe discovers that Gabriela's claim that her pregnancy was in its third month is a lie; in fact, it has been at least four months. The two women were certain that they would pay no more than 3000 of the local currency for the abortion. However, it slowly becomes clear to the audience and the women that he expects both women to have sex with him. Otilia reluctantly has sex (and eventually Gabriela does as well) with Mr. Bebe so that he will not walk out on them. Mr. Bebe then performs the abortion by injecting a probe and water into Gabriela, and leaves Otilia instructions on how to dispose of the fetus when it comes out. Otilia is visibly exasperated by Gabriela's lies, yet continues to help her and care for her.

While Jack performs missionary work at the Okavango school in Sangala, U.S. embassy official Frank Trammel (Gil Bellows) serves Jack a subpoena to appear before the Senate regarding torture charges, which he refuses to go. Upon hearing the embassy will cut funding to Benton's school if it continues to protect him, Jack decides to leave. Meanwhile, several children playing Soccer are ambushed by Juma's rebel soldiers and kidnapped for conscription. When two boys run away, the soldiers open fire, killing one. Benton learns that the rebels are planning to attack his school. He calls Jack, who hides Benton and the children in an underground shelter, and kills several rebels before getting captured and tortured. Benton is able to ambush the remaining soldiers, and Jack kills the leader, Youssou Dubaku (Zolile Nokwe). His brother, IkÃ© (Hakeem Kae-Kazim) hears of his death and plots revenge, while Jack and Benton leave with the children to get to the American embassy in the capital before the final helicopter evacuates the country.[2]

In Washington, D.C., Chris Whitley (Kris Lemche) is ordered by the conspirators who fund Juma's militia to erase all information that would incriminate them. Instead, he calls his friend Roger Taylor (Eric Lively), the son of President Elect Allison Taylor (Cherry Jones), for help. After Roger hears of the conspiracy, Whitley returns to his home to forward the files, only to be stopped by Hodges's men, who take the information, kill Whitley and bury the body in concrete.[2]

Jack, Benton and the boys are spotted by IkÃ©'s helicopter. While they flee into the forest, Benton steps on a land mine. With little time to disarm it, Benton urges Jack to leave, so he can buy time. When he is surrounded by IkÃ© and his men, Benton takes his foot off the trigger and detonates the mine, killing himself and the rebels, though IkÃ© survives. Jack and the children continue to the capital, where Jack defeats another rebel ambush. At the gates of the embassy, Trammel denies the children entry and blackmails Jack into surrendering for the children's safety. With reluctance, Jack accepts, sacrificing his freedom. While Taylor is inaugurated President, Jack and the children evacuate, leaving chaotic Sangala behind.[2]

The trio create a scheme to set-up Kevin Sheppard (Ioan Gruffud), the owner of the animal shelter where Cruella spent her community service (and which is the only one in the borough, which allowed Cruella to trick the authorities to think he stole the puppies to frame her and collect the money), as a scape-goat for the police to investigate so Cruella and company can get all the puppies she needs for her coat. However, Kevin soon escapes from prison, and meets up with Chloe, to hear that Cruella and her henchmen are headed to Paris. But they are soon captured by Cruella and imprisoned in her house.

Cruella forgot one dalmatian, Oddball, because she was born without any spots. Oddball manages to rescue her family and all the other puppies kidnapped by Cruella. With Alonzo being a good guy, she also has Cruella and LePelt arrested thereby saving the day. This happy story ends when Oddball gets her first spots, the shelter gets Cruella's money, and everyone celebrates.

The horse raiders enslave Evolet, and D'Leh, Tic'Tic, and Ka'Ren pursue them to save her. Baku, whose mother was killed during the raid, joins them later. They are attacked by terror birds in the jungle, along with the raiders. In this encounter, Tic'Tic gets wounded and Baku and Ka'Ren are captured. D'Leh rescues Evolet, but she is later re-captured. Continuing on, they meet others whose loved ones were taken by the raiders. D'Leh and Tic'Tic befriend Nakudu, leader of the Naku tribe. He tells D'Leh of a prophecy: whoever talks to the "Spear-Tooth" will help free their people. D'Leh had earlier saved a saber-toothed cat from drowning in a trap. The saber-tooth then spared his life, and he realizes the prophecy was about him. Nakudu explains that his loved ones were taken in the "Great Red Birds," or ships with large red sails, to the "Mountains of the Gods," from which no one has ever returned. They then come together with other tribes, who agree to form a coalition to pursue the raiders.

They find the ships with red sails holding Evolet and Baku. They have no means to follow the ships, so they journey through a vast desert, where they discover a relatively advanced civilization similar to ancient Egypt, which is ruled by an enigmatic figure known as "The Almighty," who is said to be the last survivor of his kind. The Almighty, who is regarded as a living god, possesses many thousands of slaves that he is using to build a huge pyramid complex in his honor and possibly for his burial. D'Leh finds an escaped slave, and notices he is wearing a bracelet worn by D'Leh's father. D'Leh's father left his tribe for food and found the Naku tribe before being stolen by the raiders. In a night attack, the guards of the slaves discover D'Leh behind a pyramid. Tic'Tic dies during the attack. Meanwhile, the Almighty's priests discover Evolet wears scars on her hand patterned after the "Mark of the Hunter," the brightest star in all of the heavens. The priests believe it is part of a prophecy that whoever wears the mark of the Hunter is destined to kill the Almighty. D'Leh starts a full-scale rebellion amongst the slaves. They cause the mammoth herd to stampede and kill a large number of troops.

As a result of the cloning process, during which Ripley's DNA was mixed with the Alien's, she has developed abilities including enhanced strength and reflexes, acidic blood, and an empathic link with the Aliens.

The Betty, a ship full of mercenaries, arrives delivering several kidnapped humans in hypersleep. The military scientists use them as hosts for the Alien facehuggers, raising several adult Aliens for study. The mercenaries encounter Ripley, and their youngest member Call (Winona Ryder) recognizes her name. She attempts to kill Ripley, believing she may be used to create more Aliens. Call is too late; the adult Aliens have already been created and quickly escape their confinement, damaging the ship and killing most of its crew. Dr. Wren (J. E. Freeman), one of the ship's scientists, reveals that the Auriga's default command in an emergency situation is to return to Earth. Realizing that this will unleash the Aliens on Earth, Ripley, the mercenaries, Wren, a marine named DiStephano (Raymond Cruz), and a surviving Alien host, Purvis (Leland Orser), attempt to escape on the Betty and destroy the Auriga.

As the group makes their way through the damaged ship several of them are killed by the Aliens. Call is revealed to be an android after Wren betrays the group. Using her abilities to interface with the damaged ship's systems, they set it on a collision course with Earth, hoping that the Aliens will be destroyed in the crash. Ripley learns that the Alien queen has gained a human ability from her DNA as well: it has grown a womb and can give birth to live offspring without the need for eggs and human hosts. The resulting offspring, which is a mixture of human and Alien traits, recognizes Ripley as its "mother" and kills the Alien queen.

Ripley and the surviving mercenaries arrive at the Betty. As they launch, the human/Alien hybrid attacks Ripley and Call. Ripley kills it by using her own acidic blood to burn a hole through a viewing pane, causing the creature to be drawn violently through the small hole and into the vacuum of space. The survivors escape in the Betty as the Auriga impacts into Earth.

Ripley is taken in and awakened by Clemens (Charles Dance), the prison doctor, and is told she is the only survivor of the crash. Many of the ex-inmates have embraced an apocalyptic, millenarian religion which forbids sexual relations, and Ripley is warned by the prison warden (Glover) that her presence among them may have extremely disruptive effects.

Suspicious of what caused the escape pod to jettison and what killed her companions, Ripley requests that Clemens perform an autopsy on Newt. She fears that Newt may be carrying an Alien embryo in her body, though she does not share this information. Despite protests from the warden and his assistant, Aaron (Brown), the autopsy is conducted and no embryo is found in Newt's body, and Clemens proclaims she simply died in the crash. Meanwhile, Ripley's unusual behavior is beginning to frustrate the warden and is agitating the prisoners.

A funeral is performed for Newt and Hicks in which their bodies are cremated in the facility's enormous furnace. In another section of the facility, the prison dog goes into convulsions and an Alien bursts from its body. The Alien soon begins to attack members of the colony, killing several and returning an outcast prisoner (McGann) to his former deranged state. To get answers, Ripley recovers and re-activates the damaged android Bishop, who confirms that there was an Alien on the Sulaco and it came with them to Fiorina in the escape pod. She then informs Andrews of her previous encounters with the Aliens and suggests everyone work together to hunt it down and kill it. Andrews does not believe her story and explains there are no weapons of any kind in the entire facility. Their only hope of protection is the rescue ship being sent for Ripley by the Weyland-Yutani Corporation.

The heavily-armed expedition descends to the surface of LV-426 via dropship, where they find the colony seemingly abandoned. Two living Alien facehugger specimens are found in the colony's medical lab, and the only colonist found is a traumatized young girl nicknamed Newt (Carrie Henn). The marines determine that the colonists are clustered in the nuclear-powered atmosphere processing station. There they find a large Alien nest filled with the cocooned colonists. The Aliens attack and kill most of the unit, but Ripley rescues Hicks, Vasquez, and Hudson. With Gorman knocked unconscious during the rescue, Hicks assumes command and orders the dropship to recover the survivors, intending to return to the Sulaco and destroy the colony from orbit. A stowaway Alien kills the dropship pilots in flight, causing the vessel to crash into the processing station. The surviving humans barricade themselves inside the colony complex.

The contents shrink her to a tiny fraction of her original size. The door is locked, and the key appears on the table, which she can not reach. The Doorknob directs her to a cookie marked "Eat me." The cookie makes her grow so large that her head hits the ceiling. She begins to cry; her massive tears flood the room. The Doorknob points out that the "Drink me" bottle still has some fluid left inside, so she finishes the last drop. She becomes so small that she drops inside the bottle. Both she and the bottle drift through the doorknob's keyhole mouth and out to a sea made from Alice's tears.

On shore, a Dodo bird leads a group of animals in a futile caucus-race to get dry. Alice meets Tweedledum and Tweedledee, two fat brothers who recite "The Walrus and the Carpenter". Alice sneaks away to the White Rabbit's house. The Rabbit orders Alice to fetch his gloves. Inside the house, Alice eats a cookie. She becomes so large that she gets stuck inside the house. The Dodo tries to help by sending Bill the Lizard down the chimney and then setting the house on fire. Alice eats a carrot from the garden and shrinks down to three inches high.

Alice chases after the Rabbit again, this time into a garden of tall flowers who consider her a weed and throw her out. She engages a hookah-smoking caterpillar who turns into a butterfly, though not before giving her cryptic advice about the mushroom she is sitting on. Alice breaks off two pieces and nibbles them alternately until finally restoring herself to her normal size and stores the pieces in her dress pockets.

Alice receives mysterious directions from the Cheshire Cat, an eerily grinning feline that can disappear and reappear at will, which lead her to the garden of the March Hare, who is celebrating his "unbirthday" with the Mad Hatter and the Dormouse. Alice, growing tired of their rudeness and wackiness, decides to go home, abandoning her pursuit of the White Rabbit. She is lost and despondent among the strange creatures (See Below) of the Tulgey Wood until the Cheshire Cat reappears and shows her a short-cut out of the forest.

In the hedge maze garden, Alice meets some playing cards painting white roses red. The White Rabbit heralds the arrival of the bellicose Queen of Hearts, the diminutive King, and a card army. She invites Alice to a strange game of croquet using flamingos as mallets, hedgehogs as balls, and card soldiers as wickets. The Cheshire Cat plays a prank on the Queen, who blames Alice and orders her execution. The King suggests that Alice be put on trial instead. At the trial, Alice's nonsensical acquaintances are of no help to her. The Cheshire Cat appears and causes enough distraction to allow Alice to eat the remaining portions of mushroom, causing her to grow to gigantic proportions. At this size, Alice scolds the terrified Queen for her rash behavior, but then starts shrinking back to her normal size all too soon. At the Queen's command of "Off with her head!" all the crazy inhabitants of Wonderland give chase.

After Philip is assassinated, Alexander becomes king of Macedonia and Greece. Having briefly mentioned his punitive razing of Thebes and burning of Persepolis, Ptolemy gives an overview of Alexander's west-Persian campaign, including his being declared as the son of Zeus by the Oracle of Amun at Siwa Oasis, his great battle against the Persian Emperor Darius III in the Battle of Gaugamela and his eight-year campaign across Asia.

The plot also illustrates Alexander's private relationship with his childhood friend Hephaestion (Jared Leto) and later his wife Roxana (Rosario Dawson). Before succumbing to an unknown illness or poison â€” it is never revealed which, yet both are suggested â€”, Alexander distances himself from his wife, despite her being pregnant, believing that she has killed his childhood friend Hephaestion.

It is suggested in the film that Alexander died in part due to the loss of Hephaestion, which occurred less than three months earlier. Early in the film, Hephaestion compares Alexander to Achilles, to which Alexander replies that, if he is Achilles, Hephaestion must be his Patroclus (Achilles's supposed lover). When Hephaestion mentions that Patroclus died first, Alexander pledges that, if Hephaestion should die first, he will follow him into the afterlife â€” a promise that Ptolemy observes he apparently kept when he died shortly after his friend.

After conquering Babylon, Alexander admits that Hephaestion is the only person whom he loves. During the film, Hephaestion shows extensive jealousy when he sees Alexander with Roxana and deep sadness when he marries her, going so far as to attempt to keep her away from him after Alexander murders Cleitus the Black in India.

The film also focuses intensively on the close and warped relationship that Alexander shared with his mother Olympias, even though he never saw her after embarking on his long campaigns.

Elaine realizes that Striker is their only chance, and he is convinced to fly the plane, though he still feels his trauma will prevent him from safely landing the plane.

McCroskey, after hearing Striker's name on the radio, sends for Striker's former commander, Rex Kramer, to help talk him down. As the plane nears Chicago, Striker neglects to check the oil temperature which damages one of the engines while a bad thunderstorm reduces visibility, making the landing even more difficult. Thanks to Kramer's endless stream of advice, Striker is able to overcome his fears and safely land the plane with only minor injuries to some passengers. Striker's courage rekindles Elaine's love for him, and the two share a kiss while Otto takes off in the evacuated plane after inflating a female autopilot doll.

Ultimately she learns that she is a clone of Goodchild's late wife Katherine, and that he is in fact trying to save humanity by secretly creating a cure for the infertility caused by the antidote for the disease which killed ninety-nine percent of the Earth's population. It turns out that all newborn children in Bregna are clones created with recycled DNA, with the dead constantly being reborn into new individuals and still bearing parts of the memories of their ancestors. One of Trevor's experiments is successful but Oren Goodchild (Jonny Lee Miller), Trevor's brother, destroys the research in an attempt to stay in power and live forever in the form of clones of himself.

However, in a confrontation with Trevor and Ã†on, Oren reveals that humanity itself has adapted and some people have regained the ability to have babies on their own. Ã†on is ultimately forced to go up against both her former allies and Oren but she manages to convince the Monicans not to listen to The Handler and take her side to kill Oren and his men. In a final act, Ã†on prepares to destroy the housing facility where the DNA used for cloning is stored, a dirigible constantly floating in the sky. She meets the old man who monitors the DNA, who was the doctor who preserved her DNA when Oren ordered it to be destroyed all those years ago. The subsequent crash breaks the wall surrounding the city and for the first time in centuries the population is able to expand into the outside world.

William's inexperience is evident, as he disappointingly receives a lance blow to the face mask, but regardless wins the tournament (and the money) due to Ector's previous lead. This gives William the idea that, with proper training, he and his companions could make a living in jousting.

Along the way to his first tournament in Rouen, William and his friends come upon Geoffrey Chaucer (Paul Bettany), "trudging" down a road with no clothes or money. William persuades the writer to fake his patents of nobility, as it is illegal for peasants to joust, and joins the jousting circuit under the pseudonym of "Sir Ulrich von Liechtenstein" from Gelderland. Chaucer is then discovered to have a terrible gambling problem, which William saves him from by paying his debts with his tournament winnings, and therefore gains Geoffrey's true loyalty (and services as a herald at the tournaments). Helped by Chaucer, Wat and Roland, he begins to win match after match. When his armourâ€”still the same suit taken from Sir Ectorâ€”becomes loose and damaged, he gains an addition to his fellowship, Kate the Farrier (Laura Fraser), who makes him revolutionary new armour and decides to travel with them. William soon meets and falls in love with a noble lady, Jocelyn (Shannyn Sossamon), who has already been noticed by the evil yet powerful Count Adhemar (Rufus Sewell). A rivalry begins between the two of them for the affection of Jocelyn and the accolades of the tournaments, and Adhemar defeats William in his first tournament.

In the following tournament, they are both assigned to tilt against Prince Edward (James Purefoy), who has entered under the name "Sir Thomas Colville," hoping he will get a rare chance to compete if his opponents do not know that the man whose life they are endangering is the Prince of Wales. Adhemar learns his identity and withdraws at the last minute, not willing to take the risk. When William's turn comes, however, his competitiveness overcomes the pressure to withdraw, and he jousts with Edward (to Edward's surprise and pleasure) and wins the tournament, along with Edward's respect. Following this good omen, Will's companions, Wat, Roland, Kate and Geoff, gamble all of their share of the money that William will win the French tournament in Paris. Coincidentally, and simultaneously, Jocelyn tells William that he must lose the tournament to prove his love to her. After he openly accepts defeat after defeat, she changes her mind; that is, he must now win to prove his love. He does win the tournament, which is followed by a romantic scene.

The group travels to London for the World Championship, and an important flashback to William's childhood is shown. His father, wanting the best for his son, reluctantly gives him over for squire services to Sir Ector, so that someday, he can realize his dream of becoming a knight and "change his stars" to live a better life than his father. Returning to the presentâ€”and to London for the first time since childhoodâ€”William, assuming that his father has long since died, visits his old neighborhood and inquires of a young local girl whether or not she remembers his father. She informs him that he is in fact still alive and well, albeit blind. William visits his father, concealing himself at first using his alias Ulrich, until he tells his father that he has a message from his son Williamâ€”that he has changed his stars after all. His father, overcome with joyous emotion, realizes it is actually his son, and they embrace and spend hours catching up.

They assault a scholar walking home from the library, stamp on a panhandling derelict, scuffle with a rival gang led by Billyboy, rob a newsagent and leave its owners unconscious, then steal a car. Joyriding in the countryside, they break into an isolated cottage and maul the young couple living there, beating the husband and raping his wife. The droogs ditch the car, and Dim and Georgie make clear their dissatisfaction with Alex's domination of the gang. At home in his dreary flat, Alex plays classical music thunderously while bringing himself to climax with fantasies of even more orgiastic violence.

Alex skips school the following morning and is visited by P. R. Deltoid, a "post-corrective advisor" assigned to remediate his juvenile delinquency. Visiting his favourite music shop, Alex meets a pair of 10-year-olds and takes them back to his parents' flat, where he feeds them alcohol and sexually assaults them while they are intoxicated.

Alex later chats with his parents, who are skeptical of his claims about having a night job, yet too intimidated to press the issue. Arriving late to meet the droogs, who have already pumped themselves up with "the old knifey moloko" (i.e., drugged milk), Alex is at a disadvantage. Georgie challenges Alex for leadership of the gang, demanding that they pull a "man-sized" job by robbing a wealthy old woman who lives alone with her cats. Alex quells the rebellion by slashing Dim and Georgie in a knife fight, then in a show of generosity takes them to a bar for some fortifying drinks. Georgie and Dim are ready to call it a night, but Alex bullies them into proceeding with the burglary. At the woman's house, Alex enters through a second-floor window and, after a farcical struggle, knocks the old woman unconscious. When he tries to flee, Dim stops him and attacks him with his "oozy" (a length of chain) and the droogs leave Alex incapacitated in the doorway as they run off, after which Alex is roughed up by the police. The next day he finds out that the woman has died and he is to be charged with murder.

When conversation turns to past sexual exploits, Andy desperately makes up a story, giving himself away when he describes the feel of a woman's breasts as "like bags of sand". When the others realize Andy is still a virgin, they resolve to help him lose his virginity.

Andy is at first reluctant to go along with them, but after a heartfelt talk with David, he agrees to give it a try. The gangâ€™s efforts prove to be unsuccessful, partly because all three men give Andy different and sometimes contradictory advice. They take Andy to a bar, where Jay advises him to hit on drunk women, but this backfires when the girl Andy leaves with drives the two of them home drunk, wrecks the car, and vomits on him. Jay recommends that Andy get his chest waxed, but Andy finds it so painful that he leaves halfway through. (Steve Carell actually had his chest hair removed during the scene, and stated in an interview on Australia's Rove Live that the scene was unnecessarily painful because the waxers forgot to oil his nipples).[3] David gives Andy his "big box of porn" to help him "loosen up" sexually, but to no avail. They later go to a speed dating lunch, with no success, and at which David encounters ex-girlfriend Amy, sending him into a downward spiral of depression. Later, Cal advises Andy to be questioning when talking to women, (which makes Andy seem mysterious) and results in Beth (Elizabeth Banks), a bookstore clerk, taking a liking to Andy. Andy starts to open up, and as true friendships begin to form with his co-workers, Andy impresses his boss, Paula (Jane Lynch), with his salesmanship and she promotes him to floor manager.

Meanwhile, the railroad guards find Evans and his sons with Byron McElroy (Peter Fonda), a Pinkerton agent and lone survivor of the ambush. Evans reveals Bisbee as Wade's likely destination, where the guards immediately return, joined by Evans and McElroy. While Doc Potter (Alan Tudyk), the local medic/veterinarian, treats McElroy, Evans tries negotiating with Hollander, who reveals his intentions to sell the land to the railroad rather than grant water rights to Evans. Enraged at the loss of his livelihood, Evans tries confronting Hollander in the nearby saloon where he finds Wade, whom he distracts long enough for the railroad guards to ambush and arrest him.

The coach's owner, Grayson Butterfield (Dallas Roberts), enlists McElroy, Potter, Tucker (Kevin Durand), one of Hollander's guards, and Evans, who agree for a $200 fee to deliver Wade for arrest. From Evans' ranch, McElroy arranges a decoy wagon to distract Wade's gang, now led by the sociopathic Charlie Prince (Ben Foster), while the real convoy charts a course for Contention, where Wade will be put on the 3:10 P.M. train to Yuma Territorial Prison. As the group prepares to ride out, Evans' older son William (Logan Lerman) demands to accompany them. Evans flatly refuses.

During the journey, Wade kills Tucker during his sleep with a fork stolen from Evans' house, and later McElroy (the former for claiming his horse and the latter for insulting his mother) but is stopped from escaping by the surprise arrival of William, who had followed the group all the way from the ranch. While taking a shortcut through a canyon, the group is attacked by Apache warriors. Evans is wounded but Wade saves him, arms himself, and kills the attackers. Following the shootout, Wade escapes to a Chinese laborer construction camp blasting a tunnel through the mountain range, where the foreman captures and tortures Wade for having killed his brother. Evans, William, Potter, and Butterfield appear and after unsuccessful attempts at negotiation, Potter leads an attack on the foremen and his miners, freeing Wade. As they flee on their horses, Potter is shot and killed, while Wade and Evans destroy the tunnel behind them with dynamite. The group arrives in Contention several hours before the train's scheduled arrival and check into the bridal suite of the hotel, where they are soon joined by several local marshals hired by Butterfield.

The Ephors consult the Oracle Pythia, who decrees that Sparta must not go to war. After Leonidas departs a messenger from Xerxes appears, rewarding the Ephors for their covert support and revealing that they have been corrupted by Xerxes.

Denied by the Ephors, Leonidas follows his plan anyway, deciding to set out with only 300 soldiers. While he does not require the council's permission for this, taking such a small force turns what had been a bold strategy into a certain suicide mission. Leonidas hopes that the sacrifice of himself and his men will spur the council to defy the Ephors and all of Greece to unite against the threat to freedom and democracy (represented by Greece) posed by slavery and tyranny (represented by Persia).

Along the way to Thermopylae, the Spartans are joined by Arcadians and various other Greeks. Along the path, the band encounters a sacked town burning on fire, apparently caused by Persian Immortals. Only a young child is left to live. They construct a wall at Thermopylae to contain the approaching Persian advance. Meanwhile, Leonidas encounters Ephialtes, a hunchbacked Spartan whose parents fled Sparta to spare him certain infanticide. Ephialtes asks to redeem his father's name by joining Leonidas, warning him of a secret path the Persians could use to outflank and surround them. Leonidas is sympathetic to the eager warrior but rejects him, as Ephialtes cannot properly hold a shield, which would compromise the Spartans' phalanx formation.

An American-led NATO force, under the command of Brigadier General Stone (Idris Elba), begins repopulating the country with both old and new residents. The chief medical officer of District 1, Major Scarlet Ross (Rose Byrne), is surprised by the inclusion of adolescents and children, amongst whom are Tammy (Imogen Poots) and Andy (Mackintosh Muggleton), Don and Alice's children who were in Spain during the initial outbreak.

At 12 years old, Andy is the youngest person in Britain, and during their subsequent medical inspection, Scarlet notes Andy's heterochromia, a trait he inherited from his mother. Andy and Tammy are subsequently admitted to District 1, a heavily-reinforced, fully functional section of London on the Isle of Dogs guarded by the United States Army, including a detachment from Delta acting as a rooftop observation team. With them are a sergeant, Doyle (Jeremy Renner), and an observation helicopter pilot, Flynn (Harold Perrineau). The children are reunited with their father Don, who is now head caretaker of the district. Don tearfully recounts his escape to them, saying that Alice was killed by the infected, but states that he witnessed Alice's death to hide the fact that he abandoned her.

The next day the two children slip out of the safe zone to return to their old home, where Andy discovers Alice, disheveled but alive. Andy and Tammy are recaptured by the US Army while Alice is decontaminated. A blood test reveals that she is infected with the Rage virus, but displaying few symptoms, labeling her an asymptomatic carrier, as evidenced by her blood-shot eye. Though Scarlet wants to keep Alice alive to seek a possible vaccine or cure, she is overruled by Stone, who wants Alice killed to prevent a possible further outbreak of Rage.

Twenty-eight days later, a bicycle courier named Jim (Cillian Murphy) awakens from a coma in the deserted St Thomas' Hospital. As he leaves the hospital, he discovers London is completely deserted and rife with signs of catastrophe. Jim is soon discovered and chased through the streets by infected people before being rescued by two survivors, Selena (Naomie Harris) and Mark (Noah Huntley), who rush him to their hideout in the London Underground. They reveal that while Jim was comatose, the virus spread uncontrollably among the populace, turning most people into mindless, vicious creatures ("the Infected") and resulting in societal collapse, possibly on a global scale.

Selena and Mark accompany Jim to his parents' house, where he discovers that they committed suicide. That night, two of the Infected attack the survivors, and when the fight ends they discover that Mark is bleeding and is likely infected. Selena immediately kills him with a machete, explaining to Jim that the infection is spread through the blood and overwhelms its victims in seconds, rendering them deadly to others. She warns that should he become infected, she will kill him "in a heartbeat". As the two journey through the derelict city the next day, Selena rules out intimacy between her and Jim, declaring that only the fight for survival remains. They discover two more survivors, Frank (Brendan Gleeson) and his teenage daughter Hannah (Megan Burns), holed up in an abandoned block of flats. Invited to spend the night, Selena and Jim privately debate whether they should remain with Frank and Hannah. Jim says they seem like good people, while Selena fears they will slow her down, warning Jim that putting others ahead of one's own personal survival is a sure way to get killed.

The next morning, Frank informs Jim and Selena that supplies, particularly water, are dwindling, and plays them a prerecorded radio broadcast loop transmitted by soldiers near Manchester who claim to have "the answer to infection". The survivors board Frank's cab in search of the blockade and during the trip bond with one another. Selena's steely resolve begins to soften, while Jim's experiences on the trip begin to toughen him up. When the four reach the deserted blockade, Frank is infected by blood dripping from a corpse and is shot dead by hidden soldiers, who then commandeer the cab and take Selena, Jim and Hannah to a fortified mansion under the command of Major Henry West (Christopher Eccleston). As Hannah grieves, Selena and Jim reach out to each other romantically. Jim discovers that West's "answer to infection" involves waiting for the Infected to starve to death, while giving hope for community survival by forcing sexual servitude on the female survivors. Jim attempts to escape with Selena and Hannah, but is captured by the soldiers, along with Sergeant Farrell (Stuart McQuarrie), who disagrees with the Major's plan. While Jim and Farrell are imprisoned for the night, Farrell informs Jim that there is no worldwide epidemic, but rather that the island of Great Britain has been quarantined.

O'Conner and Bilkins then travel to Barstow, California where O'Conner proposes the deal to his childhood friend and ex-con Roman Pearce. Together their mission involves working undercover as street racers for a South American (Argentine) drug lord - Carter Verone (Hauser), with help from Monica Fuentes (Mendes), an undercover U.S. Customs agent who becomes Carter's love interest. They win a highly charged "audition" race and strike a deal with Verone, who stated, "Drive the package to the Keys and I'll personally hand over 100Gs($100,000) at the finish line". Roman Pearce requests that the prize be $100,000 each.

This leads to several scuffs and car sequences throughout the movie, along with some spectacular car races. During the course of the movie O'Conner and Pearce begin to realize the major trouble they are in and ask Tej to arrange a race for "pink slips" with two of the racers from the audition race earlier in the movie; O'Conner and Pearce win Korpi's 1969 Yenko Camaro and Darden's 1970 Challenger R/T.

Later on that night O'Conner and Pearce arrive at Verone's nightclub so Verone can torture a police detective named Whitworth into creating a "15 minute window" to keep the local police away from O'Conner and Pearce so they may transport the money. He uses a rat trapped in a heated container to scrape him. The next morning they embark on the mission in their Mitsubishis with Verone's money in the trunks and two of his henchmen riding along. During the transportation of Verone's money, the corrupt Detective Whitworth calls in the army of police units he has waiting nearby. During the chase they lead the police to a warehouse complex. The police surround the front of the garage area so O'Conner's and Pearce's street racer friends create a "scramble" diversion allowing O'Conner and Pearce to sneak away in the Camaro and Challenger to continue their mission and Brian allow Tej to drive his Evo 7 and allow Suki to drive Roman's Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder.

They send secret signals to the "big players," who place large bets whenever the count at a table is favorable. Campbell is unsure at first, but decides to join the team, telling Rosa he is only doing so until he can pay for medical school.

Rosa takes the team to Las Vegas over many weekends; Campbell comes to enjoy his luxurious lifestyle there. His performance as a "big player" impresses Rosa, but Fisher becomes jealous at Campbell's blackjack success. Rosa kicks a drunken Fisher off the team after he insults Campbell and incites a melee that requires the team to quickly "cash out" (using dancers from their usual strip-club meeting place) before the casino switches chips. Ben and Jill also develop a mutual attraction, which culminates in the pair having a sexual encounter in Jill's suite. Meanwhile, security chief Cole Williams (Fishburne) and his sidekick Terry (McGee) monitors the blackjack team, particularly Campbell.

Campbell, distracted by blackjack, botches his part of a project for the 2.09 engineering competition, estranging him from his pre-blackjack friends. During the next trip to Vegas, an emotionally-distracted Campbell continues playing even after he is signaled to walk away, losing $200,000. An angry Rosa leaves the team and demands Campbell repay him for the loss. Campbell and his three remaining teammates agree to go into business for themselves. On their first attempt, however, Williams apprehends Campbell (having been anonymously tipped off by Rosa), physically assails him, then lets him go after giving him a death threat.

Ned sees Mike in his house, and thinks he's a thief. Ned fights with Mike, as Mike trys to prove he's the real Mike. When Ned trys to hit Mike over the head with a picture of the two of them at their 1989 graduation, he realizes that's the real Mike. Mike then returns to the school to find the janitor that he spoke with the day before and became aware of there being no such person working there. Mike then decides that with Ned posing as his father, Mike enrolls at Hayden High as "Mark Gold". He believes he has been given the chance to live his life over again, "but to do it right". Then he discovers that Maggie is dating the basketball captain Stan (Hunter Parrish), who is bullying Alex. He realizes that his real mission is to help his children, and makes friends with both Alex and Maggie. With "Mark"'s help, Alex gets a place on the basketball team and the girlfriend he desires. "Mark" comforts Maggie when she is dumped by Stan, who was pressuring her for sex. "Mark" also meets Scarlet. He helps her decorate her garden, gaining a new appreciation for her, and dances with her before she goes on a date (to the song that he and Scarlet danced to at their wedding). "Mark" and Scarlet clearly feel a connection as they danced, and are about to kiss, until Alex walks in on them. At first Scarlet seemed uncaring that her son is right there, but then she feels embarrassed and tells "Mark" that she is Alex's mother and that this is inappropriate.
